What is ACET?
Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) is an entrance exam by the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) for individuals who wish to pursue their careers as an Actuary. The primary requirement is that the candidate must have passed 12th grade in any stream.
Why ACET?
After Passing ACET Exam, Students are Eligible to Take Membership From IAI and ACET is Valid for the Period of 3 Years
ACET Eligibility
Students who have appeared 10+2 or an equivalent examination and waiting for the result.
A candidate who has passed 10+2 or any other higher courses/examinations.
Finance, or any other stream, but you have love for Mathematics and skills in Numeracy.
Mathematical Sciences: Math's, Statistics,
Econometrics or any other.
Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant or
a Company Secretary.

ACET declares result within 10 days. IAI conducts the national level entrance exam of ACET two times every year. Candidates can appear for the exam unlimited times. There is no limit on the number of attempts for ACET.
ACET FAQs
How much is the Registration Fee?
The registration fee for the entrance exam Rs. 3,000/- This covers the cost of one Sample Question Paper, Indicative Solution and Online Exam. The registration fee once paid is neither refundable nor can it be carried forward for the next ACET. You are therefore requested to make considered decision to take up the examination and only then register.
When will the result be declared?
The results are normally declared within 10 working days’ time from the date of the exam. The results would be available on the IAI website.
What is the mode of examination? Offline or Online?
It is a computer-based examination where the examinees have to be present at their chosen testing Centre administered in 24 cities across India.
Is there any penalty for wrong answers?
Negative marking has been discontinued from September 2019 Examination. There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
12th appeared student can appear for the ACET Examination?
Yes, but after passing ACET, at the time of applying for IAI student membership, the student should have qualified 12th standard.
