What is ACET?

IAI’s Actuarial Entrance Exam

The Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) is the mandatory entry-level examination conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) for students who wish to begin their journey toward becoming a certified Actuary.

ACET is the first gateway into the actuarial profession in India and is required to register as a student member of IAI.

It tests fundamental knowledge of:

Who Can Appear for ACET?

  • Students who have completed 10+2 (any stream)

  • No minimum percentage required

  • No age limit

  • Students from Commerce, Science, or Humanities can apply Students strong in Mathematics and logical thinking perform best.

  • Visit official IAI website

  • Create account

After clearing ACET, apply for Student Membership of IAI.

ACET vs Direct Exemption
